1) Rev. Bill C. Wirtz'
Gospel Showcase
A short history of 20th century African American gospel music and commentary by one of it's biggest fans, (Rev. Billy C. Wirtz) who will share his special collection of recordings, (including a rare live recording of a 17 year old Sam Cooke performing at the L.A. Shrine Theater) which showcase the music and styles of the great artists of genre.

2) Mark Hummel's Harp Blowout
Mark Hummel has been hosting the Harmonica Blowout for 11 years, when he's not playing with his own band. Look for Charlie Musselwhite, Curtis Salgado and Mark Dufresne to all join Mark for this amazing collaboration of Pacific Northwest greats.

3) Johnnie Johnson's
Piano From Blues To Rock & Roll
"Roll Over Beethoven" and let Johnnie Takeover. The composing pianist for many of Chuck Berry's hits, Johnnie "B. Goode" Johnson also co-wrote "Sweet Little Sixteen", "Rock N Roll Music" and "No Particular Place To Go" to name a few. Johnnie has been inducted into The Rock'N Roll Hall Of Fame and The Rhythm & Blues Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award. There will be additional piano players jumping in for this historical workshop.

4) Gaye Adegbalola's
Wild Women Do Get The Blues
A Legendary treat! Songwriter, performer, and a cruise favorite, Gaye Adegbalola will host an audio video and tell celebrating many of her ³Sheros² including: Ma Rainey; Bessie Smith; Ida Cox; Sippie Wallace, Memphis Minnie; Billie Holiday, Big Mama Thornton, Ruth Brown; Etta James; and Koko Taylor. This presentation promises to be exciting, inspiring, enlightening, and even empowering.
2004 Seminar:
1) "Blues In The Media...The Blues Musicians Best Friend"
The object of The Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise "Blues In The Media...The Blues Musicians Best Friend", is for the blues musician walk away with a better understanding of how to get attention from the media, thus drawing larger audiences to performances. This in turn will ultimately lead to greater CD sales, and bookings in more prestigious venues. We are going to cover how to put together a presentable promo package; what should be included in a press release; how to get airplay play and reviews for your CD, as well as how to initiate tour publicity. The format will be discussion with a lot of Q&A.
