Taj Mahal took us back 1000 years through the evolution of this Great Legendary Music. His knowledge of the music and presentation is second to noneand was a great primer in the Year of the Blues. AWESOME!

A close look at the lives and music of famed Chicago Hoochie Coochie Men, Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters. Hosted by various Chicago musicians and Special Guests.

BLUES SOCIETY SUMMIT: 'CELEBRITIES WITH A CAUSE'
"Celebrities With A Cause" Workshop featured Tim Duffy and Taj Mahal from the Music Maker Relief Foundation, Barbara Hammerman from the Luther Allison Endowment Fund and Koko Taylor and her daughter Joyce Threatt from Koko Taylor's Celebrity Aid Foundation. We found out more about these nonprofit organizations - why and how blues celebrities are helping to serve the blues community...and how your blues society can network with these foundations in your community. "Celebrities With A Cause" was an open and informal workshop on the high seas celebrating the "Year of the Blues" and facilitated by Shirley Mae Owens, President of the Detroit Blues Society and Editor of Big City Blues Magazine.
